The Marriage Preparation Course
What is the Marriage Preparation Course?
The Marriage Preparation Course is a course developed by Nicky and Sila Lee, co-authors of “The Marriage Book.” They have been married for over thirty years and have four children. They started the “Marriage Preparation Course” in 1985, and participation continues to grow with thousands of courses now running around the world.
The course consists of five DVD sessions, accompanied by discussion and activities that are designed to provide engaged couples with the tools to build a healthy marriage that will last a lifetime.
The Marriage Preparation Course is for any engaged couple who want to give their marriage the best possible start. The length of their engagement does not matter and a wedding date does not need to be set.
Most people prepare and plan for many things in life: education, career, retirement and holidays. Most couples spend up to 250 hours planning their wedding, but very little time, if any, planning for married life. Investing in your relationship before you are married will reap rewards for many years to come.
Although the course is based on Christian principles and is led by Christians, any couple is welcome to attend, regardless of church background.
Is there a Cost?
The registration fee for the Marriage Preparation Course is $15.00 per couple which covers the cost of course materials, including two “Marriage Preparation Course Manuals.” Limited scholarships are available to assist with the registration fee.
Schedule The spring session of the Marriage Preparation Course will meet once a week for five weeks on Tuesday evenings. The program will be held from March 1 to March 29 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and will be facilitated by Susan Steffen.

1. Stop by the kiosk in the back of the auditorium at the end of the service (typically available one month prior to the course starting)
