La Vina en Cincinnati- Church Plant in Price Hill

In 2005 when Isis and I met Pastor Van Cochran in Guatemala City at the launching of La Viña en Guatemala, he shared with us the fact that there is a big Guatemalan community in Cincinnati.   At that time, we had already felt the call to plant a church but we weren’t sure where the Lord was going to send us. 

We had thought about Mexico or a city in the United States.  Another year went by and when I met with pastor Van, once again at the first anniversary of La Viña en Guatemala, he mentioned, again the fact that there was a big Guatemalan community in Cincinnati.  At this point, I began to think about Cincinnati and about 6 months later when we visited Cincinnati, I felt the call to plant the church in that city. 

The Lord has put a call in the heart of my family to relocate to Cincinnati and we are going to move from Los Angeles to work hard and accomplish the planting of La Viña en Cincinnati

Today, La Viña en Cincinnati is a dream that is slowly becoming a reality. The plan is to plant a Spanish Vineyard in the area of downtown Cincinnati.  God has put this dream in the hearts of a group of people that are working hard to make it a reality.  All of these did not happen suddenly; this has been in the works for many years and is finally very close to being a reality.  The initial goal is to establish five small home groups in downtown Cincinnati and the northern area of Kentucky so that we can eventually have our first worship service.  We are very excited and happy to be part of the expansion of the Kingdom of God.  We know that the Lord is going to do something very special among the Hispanic community of Cincinnati and the Northern area of Kentucky.  We really need your prayers and we want to thank the Lord for all of you that are already helping us in many ways.
