Growing Deeper Roots
What is Growing Deeper Roots?
Growing Deeper Roots is an eight (8) week course that is designed to equip Christians in taking the next step in their personal spiritual journeys with Christ, including making space to “Connect with God” every day and interacting with the Bible.
The course will focus on a variety of key issues that relate to growing as a follower of Christ. Each week will include a teaching and small group discussion and interaction.
Three primary outcomes of the course are to be:
- Relational – a place to be with God and others.
- Revelational – a time for God to speak personally to each person.
- Experiential – an opportunity to interact with the Word and Christ followers for the purpose of being changed by God, becoming salt and light that will allow participants to impact the lives of others
The desire of the Vineyard Church Northwest is that people become mature followers of Christ. A way to do that is to follow the Acts 2:42 model – “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship (the life together), to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

Course Leaders
This course will be led by Judy Haag and Dave King. Judy has taught effectively for many years. She has a particular interest in the land and customs of the Bible. She has presented “Journey to Jerusalem” on Good Friday and “Journey to Bethlehem” during the Christmas season. Her passion is to help individuals learn how to maintain an intimate relationship with God on a daily basis. Dave King is a Pastoral Counselor and Vineyard Pastor. He was formerly the Small Groups Pastor at the Vineyard Church Northwest. He has studied and taught on effective Christian living for many years.
Who is this course for?
This class is for those wanting to experience and enjoy time with God in spite of life's fast paced pressures.

Throughout the course, participants will explore the following topics:
- How to read and understand the Bible in a life-giving way.
- How to experience the spiritual benefits of being in God’s family.
- How having a new heart can affect our habits and decisions.
- How being forgiven relates to living with a clear conscience.
- How to experience freedom from past hurts and fears.
- How to experience the power of the Holy Spirit.
- How to live more intimately with God.
Is there a cost?
The registration fee for this course is $5.00 per person which covers the cost of course materials. Limited scholarships are available to assist with the registration fee.
